About
For over three decades, Native Bloom has believed that thoughtful landscape design can transform how people connect with the natural world. Through the selection of xeric and native plants, watershed management, and craft-driven hardscape, we create outdoor environments that inspire and engage the senses. Our work is rooted in the idea that well-crafted outdoor spaces foster respect for the environment and create meaningful relationships between people and place.
Linda Rice
Owner and Lead Designer
Linda Rice’s work is grounded in decades of hands-on experience gardening in Santa Fe, where she began shaping landscapes in 1992. Over the years, this practice has developed into a deep, practical understanding of what thrives in the high desert of northern New Mexico.
Linda holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a minor in Cultural Anthropology from Kenyon College and is certified in permacultural design through Ecoversity. Her interdisciplinary background informs her approach to landscape design, bringing an artist’s sensitivity to composition alongside an awareness of how environments influence daily life and human experience.
Native Bloom grew from Linda’s enduring passion for gardening in the Southwest and her belief that thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces can foster meaningful connections between people and place.
