Linda Rice

Linda Rice is the owner and designer at Native Bloom Landscaping. Twenty-six years of gardening in Santa Fe has given her a vast and practiced knowledge of what works best in the high desert of  northern New Mexico. 

Linda earned a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art with a minor focus in Cultural Anthropology from Kenyon College. This shape of educational investigation allows her an artist's understanding of composition, light, line, and sculptural detail and underlying knowledge of how our immediate environment affects and informs our daily life. She remains committed to her education by attending workshops yearly and is certified in permacultural design from Ecoversity.

Native Bloom was born of Linda's passion for gardening in the southwest. She has a beautiful, talented, teenage daughter, a horse named Lucky, a dog named Shine and a few chickens, all named Betty. She plays mandolin and guitar in her spare time, and takes the winters to ski and hibernate.
